When Doozy Studioz Hit Prime Time: A Durga Puja Breakthrough

Writer: Dipto RoyDipto Roy

In 2022, just before the Durga Puja festivities lit up the streets of Kolkata, Doozy Studioz landed its biggest break yet. A pan-India brand, Dish TV—a household name in television services—entrusted us with creating a music video commercial. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, but there was one major challenge: time. The deadline was tight, and the project had to be executed with absolute precision.

The Beginning of Something Big

The project came to us through Navkrit, a branding agency with a solid portfolio, impressive expertise, and an enviable client list. They believed in us, and that belief became our driving force. The music video needed a perfect blend of visual storytelling and festive fervor, and for that, a powerhouse team came together.

Iman Chakraborty, the renowned Bengali singer, was signed on not just to lend her voice but to be featured in the video as well. On the music front, Saptak Sanai Das, a young prodigy, took charge of directing and composing the song. Barish, another rising star in the Bengali music scene, penned the lyrics that would carry the essence of Durga Puja straight to the audience’s hearts.

A City-Wide Shoot in Four Days

With just fourteen days in hand, a lean but efficient team of our best technicians hit the streets of Kolkata, capturing pre-Puja montages—vivid, chaotic, full of life. These were then seamlessly blended with acted scenes to establish a lyrical storyline that resonated with the warmth and nostalgia of the festival.

Despite the ticking clock, everything fell into place. The visuals, the music, the edit—each element complemented the other, creating a seamless flow of emotions. And then, before the deadline, the final copy was ready.

A Bigger Stage Than We Expected

Initially, we were told that the video would be released only on Dish TV’s social media handles. But sometimes, when you pour your heart into something, the universe rewards you unexpectedly. The client was so impressed with the final product that they made a game-changing decision—to air the three-minute-long video on top Bengali TV channels during prime time.

For us, this wasn’t just a project; it was a milestone. Seeing our work play on major TV channels, at a time when millions were tuned in, was a surreal moment. It was validation, a push forward, a reminder that creativity thrives under pressure and that we were meant for bigger things. Personally, this project taught me to challenge my own creative boundaries, to trust the process, and to always aim higher.

Durga Puja that year wasn’t just about celebration—it was about accomplishment. And with that, Doozy Studioz had officially arrived on the big stage. Video Link:
